One of the most important criteria of tooth restoration is accuracy i.e. perfect closing at the edges. The replacement may be beautiful and invisible but if the edges do not close at the preparation border it should be removed within a short time and a new prosthesis will be required. Perfect closing can be achieved by using a microscope of 10-times magnification.

For the time being, we work with three Japanese microscopes and we have used to working with the images provided by them and we could not do without them any more. We use the microscopes both during working, and upon finishing the job for checking.

Another possibility is the application of a CAD-CAM system where edge closing can be adjusted through the software by microns. In this event, machines controlled by various computers manufacture the prosthesis excluding any human error in the perfect closing of edges.
